About Me:

I'm a 25 year old Pre-and-Early Modern Literature major and Education minor from the University of California, Santa Cruz. I graduated in 2013 and spent the next few years working with children at a local teen center and summer camp. This is where I acquired my nickname, "Bagel." I also worked in musical theater for four summers. I aim to return to school in order to become a writing instructor for entry level college students.

In my spare time I like to play video games, eat, sleep, and do other general super bum-tastic things. I am very nerdy and have no shame.

About the Blog:

This blog is for me to express what's on my mind and a place for me to potentially let off some steam. My ideas may be stupid, insecure, or absolutely ridiculous, and I am 100% okay with that. I also use this blog to archive papers, compositions, poems, or other writing projects. You are welcome to leave comments, ask questions or lurk quietly. If you choose to leave a thought, please be considerate with your words. I do not tolerate hate speech of any kind. This blog's purpose is not to entertain - unless you find entertainment in my ramblings. I find it liberating to write so honestly and have it public; to see my thoughts on an actual screen in front of me makes them feel so real. To edit my thoughts makes me rethink them, reform them, and grow from them. This blog has endured eight years of the internet: there are some old posts I am not so proud of, but they need to remain here. There is no shame in looking back to who I was in order to see how far I've come. I am free when I write, and I love to exercise that freedom. Secondly: if your professors are on the internet at all, this blog is easy to find. Do not jeopardize your education.
